Douglas McArthur "Mac" Sheets Sr., 73, of Peach Bottom PA, was called home by the Lord, surrounded by his family on May 12, 2015.He was the husband of Marcella Annie Barton Sheets.They had celebrated 28 years of marriage.
Mac had been a self-employed logger and sawmill operator.
Born in Peach Bottom PA, a son of the late Jesse and Beulah Caldwell Sheets.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening.He was a member of the Southern Lancaster Co, Farmers Sportsman Assoc.
In addition to his wife Annie, he is survived by 9 children; Theresa Sokso (John),Lititz, Douglas Sheets Jr. (Bausi), Drumore, Steve Sheets (Tammy), Quarryville, Shari Knutsen (Ed), NC, Karen Sheets, New Providence, Brian Sheets (Jennipher), Quarryville, Angela Meadows, FL, Jesse Sheets (Kristy), New Providence, Rebecca Sheets, Santee, CA, 25 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, siblings; Charles Sheets, Roger Sheets, and Joyce Gyles, all Peach Bottom.He was predeceased by siblings; Jesse Sheets, and Alvin Sheets.
Funeral Service will be at Reynolds Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. 144 East State Street, Quarryville, PA on Monday, May 18, 2015 at 12:00 PM noon.There will be a viewing from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.Burial will be in Pleasant Grove United Methodist Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to; Ann B.
