Dorothy Jane Styer

Dorothy J. Styer, 90, of Lancaster passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at Oak Leaf Manor South.Born in Lancaster on March 25, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Anna Brown.Dorothy was married to Harold Styer for 41 years.
Dorothy was a homemaker who lovingly took care of her family.She enjoyed cooking, tending to her garden, and going to their cabin along the river in Fishing Creek.She was a member of Mount Zion United Methodist Church in Drumore.
Dorothy is survived by three children, Debra, Jack and Donna Bates, two step children, Kelly Styer husband of Janie, and Stacy Murry wife of Rick. Two grandchildren, Jennifer Roten and Michael Bates, two step grandchildren, Chris Ditzler and Jamy Ditzler, one great grandchild and two step great grandchildren.Dorothy was preceded in death by an infant daughter and one son, James Bates, a granddaughter Kristin Bates and three great grandchildren, Austin, Dalonte and Tirell.
Dorothy's family would like to thank the staff at Oak Leaf Manor Friendship Place in Millersville for their loving and compassionate care.
