Dorothy G. Lancaster, 91, formerly of Willow Grove, PA died Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community, Quarryville, PA.She and her late husband Charles A. Lancaster who died February 9, 2003 were married for 27 years.She was born in Philadelphia, a daughter of the late James A. and Isabella Green Lysinger.
She was a member of Solanco Bible Church and a former member of Independent Bible Church of Willow Grove.Active with children, she was involved in various Christian children's ministries including Released Time Program.
Surviving are four sons, John C. (Carole) Lancaster of Lansdale, James R. (Barbara) Lancaster of Warminster, Jay P. (Christine) Lancaster of Hereford, Joel D. (Tammy) Lancaster of Brigantine, NJ; a daughter Jean Kiederling of Chesapeake, VA; 11 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchilden.
Funeral services will be held at Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community, Ellingsworth Auditorium, 625 Robert Fulton Highway Quarryville, PA on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at 11:00AM.Interment will follow in Quarryville Cemetery.A visitation will be held from10:30AM until the time service.Those who desire may make contributions in Dorothy's memory to CBM Ministries of South Central PA, Inc., (for Released Time Program), 3741 Joy-El Drive, Greencastle, PA 17225 or to Haycock Camping Ministries, 3100 School Road, Kintersville, PA 18930.
