Dorothy H. Crawford, 91, formerly of Kirkwood, passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2013, at Masonic Village, Elizabethtown.

She was the wife of the late William R. Crawford Jr., who passed away in 2007. Born in Kirkwood, Dorothy was the daughter of the late George A. and Dora Sherman Hogg.

Dorothy retired from Solanco School District in 1985 where she served 15 years as Cafeteria Coordinator and 10 years as Cafeteria Manager.

She was a lifelong member of the former Kirkwood Presbyterian Church and a member of Farm Women Society #20 and the Robert Fulton Chapter of Eastern Star 146. For 32 years Dorothy served as Secretary Treasurer of the Kirkwood Burial Association, founded by her father. In 2000 she became a Director.

Dorothy enjoyed crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.

Dorothy is survived by a son, Ronald, married to Sib (Eshleman), Lancaster, daughters, Joyce, married to Wilburn Potter, Strasburg, and Bonnie, married to Wayne Weismandel, Mount Joy; six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by half-sisters Leah Deaver, Lena Ferree, Leta Ferree, Laila Greenleaf, Helen Graver and a half-brother, Earl Hogg.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at Union Presbyterian Church, 5637 Street Road, Kirkwood, PA on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 2:00 PM with Reverend Tom Chase officiating. A viewing will precede the service from 1 pm until the time of service. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dorothy's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
