Dorothy E. Bleecher

Dorothy E. Bleecher, age 72 of Strasburg, passed away on Friday, September 13, 2024 at her home. She was the wife of Russell Bleecher for almost 40 years. Born in Lancaster, daughter of the late Robert W. and Marguerite M. Weaver McCauley. She was a graduate of Solanco High School. She enjoyed going to cars shows, watching NASCAR and Sprint car races, going to dances and social gatherings and going to the beach in Ocean City, MD, but nothing compared to being Mimi to her grandchildren. Surviving besides her husband are 3 children: Jessica (Robert) Mitchell of Lampeter, Jason (Brandy) Gore of Strasburg, Jennifer (Michelle) Gore of Elizabethtown, 5 grandchildren: Hunter Mitchell, Sierra Mitchell, Benjamin Mitchell, Jaliegh Gore, Branson Gore, and 7 siblings: Wanda (James) Brock of Peach Bottom, Carolyn Drumm of Drumore, James (Sharon) McCauley of Peach Bottom, John (Jennifer) McCauley of Drumore, Daniel (Michelle) McCauley of Shenandoah, VA, Mary (Joseph) Walton of Buck, Glenn (Kristen) McCauley of Drumore. She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert McCauley.
