Dorothy G. Aument

Dorothy G. Aument, 97, of Willow Valley Drive, formerly of Willow Street and Greene, passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Lakeside at Willow Valley.She was the widow of Harold E. Aument who died May 8, 1992.Born in Drumore Township, she was the daughter of the late E. Maurice and Eliza Reed Gregg.
Following her graduation from West Chester College, she taught elementary school for a number of years. Then, she and her husband were proprietors of Aument's Country Store in Fairfield where she also became the postmaster.
Dorothy was a lifetime and oldest continuing member of Little Britain Presbyterian Church. Interested in local history, she was active in the Southern Lancaster County Historical Society and the Lancaster Post Card Club.
Surviving are two children, Ronald P. Aument and his wife Jeanne M. Schlegel of Falls Church, VA, and Melissa A. wife of William J. Gallagher of Carlisle; two grandchildren, Matthew Aument and Caitlin wife of Jeff Copus; and a great grandchild Beckett Gregg Copus.
Funeral services will be held at Little Britain Presbyterian Church, 255 Little Britain Church Road, Peach Bottom, PA Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 11:00AM with Rev. Thomas P. Milligan officiating.Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery. A viewing will be held at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of service.Kindly omit flowers.
