Donalene W. Grove, age 96, of North Hopewell Township, has been longing to be with her late husband of 69 years, Bruce H. Grove, and on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 they were reunited in Heaven.  Born in Red Lion, she was the daughter of the late Charles Wesley Ralph and Sallie Almeda Snyder Rineholt and grew up in Red Lion and Winterstown.    She played the piano and accordion.  She sang on the radio in Lancaster with her father and at picnics with her 3 sisters.  Donalene knew Bruce Grove from church and started dating him a few days after her graduation in 1946.  Bruce worked for her father at the Winterstown Garage where she was the bookkeeper.  On her wedding day, June 26, 1948, her father walked her through Winterstown to the St Paul's Evangelical Brethren Church where she and Bruce were married. Donalene was an active member of the Winterstown United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School, sang in the senior choir, and was the longest member of the church's reading club.  She was the clerk for North Hopewell Township for 33 years, volunteered as a member of the Ladies Aid for the North Hopewell Winterstown Fire Company, and belonged to the Winterstown Knitting Club.  She loved spending time with her family and going camping with family and friends.

Surviving are her 5 children: Danny R. husband of Lynn Grove of York, Duston B. husband of Cindy Grove, Robin A. wife of Butch Frey, both of Felton, Todd A. Grove companion of Susan Olivero of Stewartstown, Dr. Penny D. Grove wife of Stephen Stambaugh of Felton, 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, and a sister Natalie M. wife of Don Miller of Red Lion.  She was preceded in death by 2 siblings: Gladys Emmick and Gerry Seitz.

Traditional services will be private with burial in Winterstown United Brethren Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Winterstown Fire Company, 12246 Winterstown Road, Felton, PA 17322.
