Obituary

Donald C. Miller, age 81, of New Holland, PA, passed away at the Mt. Joy Hospice Center on Sunday, March 10, 2024.  He was the husband of Sandy Raum Miller, with whom he celebrated 62 years of marriage on December 10th.  He was born in Wrightsville, son of the late Donald W. & Marian E. Martin Miller.  He was a life member of the Limeville United Methodist Church, where in the past he sang in the choir and was a Sunday School Teacher.  He graduated from Pequea Valley High School class of 1961.  He was a barber in the Intercourse area and then was a self employed truck driver, driving for BRT and Earl R. Martin.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, eating out, football, wrestling, riding four wheeler and motorcycle, going to his farm in Bedford County and most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.  He participated in the Make-A-Wish Mother's Day Truck Convoy, and one year was the top fundraiser.  Surviving besides his wife is a son Chad husband of Doris Kohl Miller of Narvon, 3 granddaughters: Ashley, Karrissa, Chelssee, 5 great grandchildren:  Bailey, Kendal, Landon, Rylee and Blake.  He was preceded in death by a son Donald C. Miller, Jr. and a sister Jeannette A. wife of William Rutter of Gap.  A memorial service will take place at the Limeville United Methodist Church, 5783 Limeville Road, Gap, PA, on Sunday, March 24th at 3 p.m. with a greeting time from 2 p.m. until time of service.  Pastor Daniel Hall will be officiating.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice & Community Care, P.O.
