Donald L. Metzler, age 79 of New Providence, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2025. He was the devoted husband of the late Ida J. Sheets Metzler. He was born in Holtwood, son of the late Isaac H. and Grace Stauffer Metzler.  Don worked for Donnelley Printing for 47 years.  He enjoyed farming, going to tractor pulls and car shows, watching NASCAR, hunting with his buddies, going to the beach, his cats and spending time with his family. He is survived by 2 daughters: Tracey L. Metzler of Quarryville, Sarah E. Metzler companion of Stephen Soltez of Marion Center, PA, 7 siblings: Dorothy wife of the late John Lapp, Mary wife of the late Haines Clements, Ruth wife of the late Craig Banner, Bertha wife of the late Edward Ressler, Isaac husband of the late Frances Metzler, Benjamin husband of Velma Metzler and William "Pete" husband of Judy Metzler, and 2 sister-in-laws: Mary Lou "Midge" wife of the late David Metzler, Bernice wife of the late John Metzler.  He was preceded in death by a sister Grace Metzler. Don was deeply loved and will be sorely missed.
