Donald W. Mallory

Donald W. Mallory, devoted husband of Sue (Jenks) Mallory, passed into the arms of Jesus, on August 14, 2026. Born in Sudbury Vermont on May 31, 1933, to the late Arthur and Marion Mallory. Don served in the Army before starting his own plumbing and electrical business in Vermont. In the late 1960’s he relocated to Lancaster County and began working as a plumber for Fickes and Sons for 24 years. His work reflected the pride he took in doing every job well. Don was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Christiana Lodge. He was a longtime member of St. John’s United Methodist Church in Paradise where he served as a Trustee, as well as using his skills as a plumber/electrician to maintain the church. In his youth Don developed a passion for hunting. After relocating to Pennsylvania he struck up a friendship with neighbor Bud Acker, who introduced him to Arrowhead Hunting Camp. Some of Don’s happiest moments were spent at Arrowhead where he formed many friendships over the years. Don also had a passion for classic cars. He loved driving his 1962 Studebaker GT Hawk. He and Sue were active members of the Keystone Region Chapter of the Studebaker Drivers Club. Over the years they helped organize and attend many events. Don will be lovingly remembered as having a kind, generous, humble spirit. Whether serving his church or supporting family, friends, or neighbors he was always putting others needs ahead of his own. He reflected Christ through humility, compassion, and generosity. He passed on a valuable life lesson to his children to always “finish well”. Don was the last of his immediate family. He was preceded by his son Dale and eight siblings. In addition to his wife of 57 years Sue, he is survived by his children, Shelley Getz (Phil), Rick Mallory (Carol), Dean Goodwin (Nita), Darren Mallory (Anne). Six grandchildren, Trevor, Victoria, Megan, Abigail, Cassandra, Rebecca, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Don’s wishes, there will be no funeral services.
