Donald L. Ashworth, Sr., age 90 of Lancaster, PA, passed away on Monday, May 5, 2025 at the Abbeyville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.  He was the husband of Eileen Warren Ashworth with whom he would have celebrated 71 years of marriage on May 15th.  He was born in Christiana, son of the late John L. & Julia Baker Ashworth.  He was a member of Latta Memorial Presbyterian Church of Christiana.  He graduated from Scott High School class of 1952.  Don served in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.  In the past he worked as a draftsman for  RCA of Lancaster and also as a meat cutter at Darrenkamp's Market and John Herr Market for many years.  He enjoyed working with bonsai trees.  Surviving besides his wife is a son Donald L. Ashworth, Jr. of Lancaster and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by 3 siblings:  John D. Ashworth, Julia Ann Reinhart and Joyce Wooldridge.

Funeral service will take place at Latta Memorial Presbyterian Church, 23 Green Street, Christiana, PA, on Saturday, May 10th at 11 a.m. with a viewing time from 10:30 a.m. until time of service.  Pastor Jane DeFord will be officiating.  Interment will take place in the Sadsbury Friends Burial Grounds.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Latta Memorial Presbyterian Church or to a charity of your choice.
