Obituary

Dennis L. Wilson, age 77 of Lancaster, passed away on Monday, October 20, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family.  He was the loving husband of Linda Conrad Wilson for 34 years.  Born in West Grove, he was the son of the late William A., Sr. and Marian Jackson Wilson.  Dennis was a member of The Lord's House of Prayer where he served as a deacon, usher, Life Group leader and mentor to young men.  He worked for Ford New Holland as a laborer and retiring as a supervisor.  He graduated from Solanco High School where he wrestled and played football and baseball.  Dennis honorably served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.  Besides spending quality time with his family, he traveled with an International Ministry group and over the years has taken many trips visiting countries worldwide.  He loved the outdoors including hunting, fishing and golfing and being the third baseman on the church's softball team for many years.  Surviving besides his wife are 3 children; Jennifer, wife of Leighton Dickenson of Lititz, Brian, husband of Dawn Wilson of Farmville, VA, Chris Kirkwood of Marietta, 4 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and a sister; Carol, wife of Robert Born of Chicago, IL.  He was preceded in death by a sister; Dotty "Jane" late wife of Robert J. Erb of Strasburg and a brother, William A. Wilson, Jr.  A celebration of life service will take place at The Lord's House of Prayer, 133 East Vine Street, Lancaster, on Thursday, October 30th at 6 p.m. with a visitation time from 5 p.m. until the time of service.  Pastors Matt Kroll and Mark King will be officiating.  In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Dennis' honor to Building Bridges Foundation, 230 Indian Hill Road, Conestoga, PA 17516 or to the Visiting Angels Foundation, 937 Haverford Road, Suite 200, Bryn Mawr, PA 19010.
