David L. "Verne" Lefever, 61, of Fishing Creek Road, Quarryville, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 21, 2014, at Lehigh Valley Hospital.He was the husband of the late Jeannie Hensel Lefever who passed away in 1982.
Verne had been employed by Road-Con, Inc., West Chester, PA as an iron worker-welder.He had spent his career working on bridges over a wide area.
He enjoyed motorcycles, and hotrods.
He was born in Lancaster, a son of the late Perry and Sarah Grube Lefever.
Verne is survived by 4 children; Stephanie, wife of Steve Buck of Quarryville, Brit, husband of Nicole Lefever of Willow Street, Perry C. Lefever of Willow Street, Brandon Lefever of Peach Bottom, PA, 6 grandchildren: Alexandra Jean, Jordon Scott, Jarrod Steven, Riley Paige, Alyse Marie, Perry Shane, siblings: Richard,husband of Audrey Lefever of Peach Bottom, George, husband of Martha Lefever of Leola, Bonnie, wife of Marvin Doulin of Drumore,Rosann, wife of Rockford Leed of Stevens,and Wendy Jo wife of Willis Trimble of Drumore. He was predeceased by siblings: Bill Lefever, Lloyd Lefever, Barry Lefever, Robert Lefever, and Dennis Lefever.
The Funeral Service will be held at Reynolds Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 144 East State Street, Quarryville, PA on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at 6:30 P.M. with Pastor Blake Deiblerofficiating. A Viewing will be held Tuesday prior to the service from 4:00-6:30 PM.
