David G. Lapp, age 90, formerly of Paradise passed away at Fairmount Homes on Tuesday, May 14, 2024.  He was the husband of the late Vilma D. Stoltzfus Lapp who passed away on May 28, 2015.  He was born in Gordonville, son of the late Samuel & Susan Glick Lapp.  He was a member of Calvary Monument Bible Church, where in the past he had served on the cemetery committee.  He was the owner operator of David G. Lapp Excavating retiring in 1996.  He was a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association.  He enjoyed riding his Gold Wing  motorcycle, touring extensively the United States and Canada totaling over 865,000 miles.  He enjoyed spending time at his cabin in Juniata County.  Surviving are 2 children:  Ronald D. husband of Darlene Eberly Lapp of New Holland, Pamela A. wife of Brian Herr of Quarryville, 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 5 siblings:  Melvin Lapp of Lititz, Jacob husband of Loretta King Lapp of Kinzers, Edna wife of Ray Lapp of Ephrata, Barbara Kauffman of New Holland, Rhoda wife of Marv Smoker of Intercourse.  He was preceded in death by a son Darrell G. husband of Karen Wilcox Lapp of Ronks, 2 siblings:  Dale Lapp and Anna Mary Benner.

A memorial service will take place at the Calvary Monument Bible Church, 1660 Mine Road, Paradise, PA, on Tuesday, May 21st at 11 a.m. with Pastor Robert Reid officiating.  Private interment will take place prior to the memorial service.  There will be no viewing.  The Lapp family will greet family and friends on Monday evening, May 20th at the Fairmount Homes Chapel, 333 Wheat Ridge Drive, Ephrata from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Tuesday at Calvary Monument Bible Church following the memorial service at a luncheon in the church fellowship room.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Fairmount Homes Caring Fund.
