David R. Combs

David R. Combs, 69, of Kirkwood, PA, passed away December 26, 2014.He was the husband of Betty M. Jones Combs.They had celebrated 50 years of marriage.
David had been employed as an owner operator truck driver.
He had proudly served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
David enjoyed collecting models and coins, tinkering on cars, and was an avid reader. He always enjoyed attending his Vietnam veteran's reunions.
Born in Columbia, PA, he was the son of the late Arthur and Marie Phillips Combs.
In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter, Chris, wife of Bob Bird, Kirkwood, grandson, Bobby, 3 brothers; Grant, John, and Morris and 4 sisters Ginny, Laura,
Betty, and Mary.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Union Presbyterian Church, 5637 Street Road, Kirkwood, PA.A visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service from 10-11:00 AM.Please omit flowers.Memorial contributions may be made to Compassion Care Hospice; www.cchnet.net.
