David B. Kauffman

David B. Kauffman, age 88 of Gordonville formerly of Parkesburg, passed away at the Lancaster General Hospital on Wednesday, November 2, 2022.  He was the husband of Margaret F. "Peg" Foster Kauffman with whom he celebrated 68 years of marriage on April 13th.  He was born in Gap, son of the late Elam B. & Viola Blank Kauffman.  He was a member of Calvary Monument Bible Church of Paradise and had attended the Gordonville Community Church.  He worked for Kauffman Gas of Atglen for 40 years retiring in 2004.  Dave in early years enjoyed playing baseball with the Jennersville Church of the Brethren, bowling and was a big Phillies fan.  He was known for collecting Pens having over 5000 in his collection.  Surviving besides his wife are 5 children:  Elizabeth "Beth" wife of Carl Craddock of Oxford, David E. husband of Karen Laffey Kauffman of Cochranville, James E. husband of Lois Wanner Kauffman of Cambridge Springs, PA, Lisa M. Myer of Gordonville, Lauretta L. "Laurie" wife of John Moore of Lancaster, 16 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, 5 siblings:  Joseph B. husband of Coela Vonehrenkrook Kauffman of Phoenix, AZ, Mary Jane wife of C. Warren Shoop of Tucson AZ,  Milo J. husband of Ann Black Kauffman of Phoenix, AZ, A. Louis husband of Janice Pietch Kauffman of Strasburg, Vernon E. husband of Fay Landis Kauffman of Gap, sister in law Mary Marston of Lancaster.  He was preceded in death by a grandson Tyler J. Kauffman.  Funeral service will take place from Calvary Monument Bible Church, 1660 Mine Road, Paradise, PA, on Wednesday, November 9th at 11 a.m. with a viewing time from 9 to 10:45 a.m.  Pastor Scott Althouse will be officiating.  Interment will be adjoining church cemetery.
