Darlene T. Swisher

Darlene T. Swisher, age 78 of Georgetown, passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2024. She was the wife of the late George L. Swisher and the late John G. Lawrence. She was born in Conowingo, MD, daughter to the late Earvil and Lydia McGuigan Eastridge. Darlene was a lifetime member of the Bart Fire Company Auxiliary. She enjoyed camping, going to the mountains, but most of all she loved spending time with her family. She is survived by 3 daughters: Terry L. wife of Victor Aulestia of Lancaster, Dawn M. wife of Gary Fromm of Strasburg, Tracy A. Joe of Quarryville, 5 granddaughters: Christine Levy, Angie Nesbitt, Rachel Kellner, Sara Lewis, Amanda Fromm, 4 great grandchildren, 3 siblings: Susie McClure of Oklahoma, Allen Eastridge of Texas, Roger Eastridge of Delaware, and her companion Richard Johnson. She was preceded in death by a brother, Sonny Eastridge. Funeral service will take place from Shivery Funeral Home, 111 Elizabeth Street, Christiana on Monday, April 15th at 7 pm with a viewing from 6 pm until time of service. Interment will be in Georgetown Methodist Cemetery.
