Daniel Ressler

Daniel C. Ressler, age 62, of Scheller Road, New Providence, passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2014. Born in Lancaster he was the son of the late Charles A. and Thelma Rauser Ressler, and step mother D. Susan Bushong Ressler. He was the husband of the late Darlene K. Armstrong Ressler who died May 29, 2009.
Dan retired from Armstrong World Industries after 30 years in the production department.Following retirement he was a driver for Renezenberger Transportation Services.
He served his county in the US Army as a SP4 during the Vietnam War.
An avid train enthusiast, he collected Lionel trains and was a member of the Train Collectors Association. He enjoyed hunting, woodworking, farming, traveling and mostly his grandchildren.
He is survived by three sons, Charles N. Ressler of Holtwood, William T. Ressler of Lititz, Franklin L. Ressler of New Providence; 5 grandchildren; two brothers, David W. (Barbara) Ressler of New Providence, Andrew Ressler of Willow Street; and a sister Barbara (Fredrick) Hess of Pequea.
Funeral services will be held at Reynolds Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., 144 East State Street, Quarryville, PA on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at 10:00AM with Rev. Marilyn Witte officiating.Interment will follow in Conestoga Memorial Park. Viewings will be held on Monday, from 6:30-8:00PM and again on Tuesday from 9:00AM until the time of service.
