Daniel E. Appel, 52, of River Road, Quarryville, the loving husband of Deborah G. Stout Appel, passed away on Friday, August 29, 2014, at his residence. He and Deb would have been married34 years on September 20th.Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Elwood S. and Charlotte R. Osborne Appel.
A self-employed tradesman, he owned and operated Dan's Tile.
An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping and he especially enjoyed his family and friends.Dan was an avid Eagles fan.

Surviving beside his wife Deb is a son Daniel L. husband of Lisa Appel of Peach Bottom; two grandchildren, Dakota and Kaylee; 3 brothers, Douglas N. (Gloria) Appel of Holtwood, David E. (Vanessa) Appel of Peach Bottom, Dwayne E. Appel of Peach Bottom; a sister Debbie L. Barker of Holtwood; and many nieces and nephews.
Dan was preceded in death by a brother Dale P. Appel.
Funeral services will be held at Reynolds Funeral & cremation Services, Inc., 144 East State Street, Quarryville, PA on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at 11:00AM with Pastor Robert Vannoy officiating.Interment will follow in Chestnut Level Presbyterian Cemetery.Viewings will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from6:30-9:00PM and again on Wednesday from 10:00AM until the time of service.
