D. June Umble

D. June Umble, age 82, of Kinzers, PA, passed away at her home on Thursday, September 23, 2021. She was the wife of Mervin J. Umble with whom she celebrated 63 years of marriage on August 16th. She was born in Philadelphia, daughter of the late Walter E. & Dorothy Mae Young Tyndall. She was a member of Calvary Monument Bible Church of Paradise. She graduated from Pequea Valley High School. Along with her husband and daughters she operated a deli at the former Funks Farm Market of Millersville. Also in the past she was employed by the Pequea Valley School District working in the cafeteria. June had the gift of hospitality and loved being a homemaker. Surviving besides her husband are 2 daughters: Terry wife of Andrew Hardy of Gap, Karen Shoemaker of Coatesville, 5 grandchildren: Patrick & Aaron Hardy, Donald Shoemaker, III, Kirsten Odenwelder, Peter Shoemaker, 4 great grandchildren: Donald Shoemaker, IV, Ezra, Hadassah & Adara Shoemaker. She was preceded in death by a sister Carol Whiteside.

A private funeral service will take place at Calvary Monument Bible Church with interment in the adjoining cemetery.
