Christopher D. Kennedy

Christopher "Chris" D. Kennedy, age 65, passed away unexpectedly on September 4, 2024. Born in Darby, Pennsylvania, Chis was the son of the late Virgil and Margaret Kennedy. Chris worked for Upper Darby Township and Delaware County Communications. He was a true public servant. He was a life member of the Garrettford Drexel Hill Fire Company, as well as a 19 year veteran of the Gap Fire Company in Lancaster County. Chris was liked by everyone that knew him and always had a smile on his face. He had a selfless heart, always offering help to others but never expecting anything in return. Chris was a master pressman and enjoyed spending time in rural Potter County. Chris is survived by his long time girlfriend, Michele Coates of Gap, Son, Joe Kennedy, 3 grandchildren: Joey, Henry, Gwendolyn and 5 siblings: Kathy, Rocky, Jaqui, Jake, and Pat. He was preceded in death by a sister Ginny and 3 brothers: Steve, Larry and Richie.

A memorial service will take place from Shivery Funeral Home, 111 Elizabeth Street Christiana PA 17509 on Sunday, October 20th at 2:00 p.m.
