Christi Marie Rodgers, 26, of Peach Bottom, PA, fell in the line of duty, on Friday, October 24, 2014.She was the wife of James P. Rodgers, II. She was born in Lancaster, a daughter of David and Janice Harven Jackson.
Christi had been employed as a scheduler and caregiver for Caring Matters, Inc., Lancaster, PA.
Christi was an active firefighter-EMT.She was a member of Robert Fulton Fire Company, where she currently served as secretary and medical officer and also served with the Wakefield Ambulance Assoc. She was a past member of the Rawlinsville Fire Company, where she was a past secretary, and the Pequea Fire Company.Christi had also served as an EMT for the former New Providence Ambulance Association.
She was an active member of the Worship Center, Leola.
Christi loved the outdoors, where she hunted and fished.She had been an assistant soccer coach with her father for the Penn Manor Soccer Club, and had been a Girl Scout leader where she received a silver award.She enjoyed rooting for her Baltimore Ravens.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by her one month old son, Conner Patrick Rodgers, brother, David Jackson, husband of Jermel Johnson of Philadelphia,paternal grandparents, Florence and Jesse Jackson, Lancaster, maternal grandmother, June Harven of Huntingdon County.
The Funeral Service will be held at Wesley United Methodist Church, 1104 Kirkwood Pike, Quarryville, PA on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. The burial will be in Pleasant Grove United Methodist Cemetery, Peach Bottom, PA. Visitations will be held on Wednesday evening at the Worship Center, 2384 New Holland Pike, Lancaster, PA from 6-8:00 PM and at Wesley United Methodist Church on Thursdayfrom 9-11:00 A.M.In lieu of flowersmemorial contributions may be made to "Conner P.
