Charlotte E. "Shorty" Summers, age 94, formerly of Narvon, passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at Zerbe Sisters Nursing Home.  She was the wife of the late Robert P. "Bob" Summers who died December 5, 2013.  Born in Paradise, she was the daughter of the late Walter S. and Nora E. Armer Denlinger.  Shorty graduated from Paradise High School, Class of 1947.  She was a member of Pilgrim Bible Church of New Holland.  She worked in the Salisbury Elementary School cafeteria for 20 years.  She enjoyed baking, flowers, embroidery, taking walks, and her grandchildren, especially jumping in puddles with them.  Surviving are 2 daughters: Linda wife of Maurice Boley of Narvon, Lou Ann wife of Gene Lammey of Christiana, 5 grandchildren: Melissa wife of Mike Sensenig, Jennifer wife of Shane Ingram, Heidi Boley. Rosie Lammey, Nathan husband of Janelle Lammey, 5 great-grandchildren: Marshal and Mariah Sensenig, Zeke Ingram, Jackson and Charlotte Lammey.  She was preceded in death by 4 siblings: Robert C., Clair W. and Thomas A., and Eva M. Denlinger.

Funeral service will take place on Thursday, November 2, at Shivery Funeral Home, 111 Elizabeth Street, Christiana, at 11 a.m. with a time to greet the family from 10 a.m. until time of service.  Pastor Norman Griess will be officiating.  Interment will take place prior to the service in the Pequea Presbyterian Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Shory's memory to worldvision.org or Caring Hospice Services of Central PA, 101 Good Drive, Unit 1, Lancaster, PA 17603.  shiveryfuneralhome.com
