Charlesie E. Coates

Charlesie E. Coates, 84, of Nottingham PA, passed away on Monday, August 21, 2017.She was the widow of the late Howard Coates who passed away in 1989.
Born in Wilmington DE, Charlesie was a daughter of the late Charles and Verna Lynch Hawley.
Charlesie had graduated from Goldie Beacom Business School.Following graduation, she operated dance schools in Wilmington, DE, Oxford, PA, and Rising Sun, MD.Charlesie had been the tax collector for Little Britain Twp. for more than 20 years.She was also active in the 4H sewing club.
Charlesie was a member of Eastland Friends Meeting.
She is survived by 3 sons, and a daughter, Charles Coates (Shirl), Nottingham, Clark Coates, Nottingham, Linda Coates (John Yost), Strasburg, Scott Coates (Laura), Oreville, PA, and 5 grandsons.
Friends are invited to attend funeral services at Eastland Friends Meeting House, 10 Friends Road, Nottingham, PA on Friday, August 25, 2017, at 11:00 AM.Interment will be in the Eastland Friends Burying Ground.There will be a visitation viewing one hour prior to the service from 10-11:00 AM.Please omit flowers, with memorial contributions to Eastland Friends Meeting.Arrangements entrusted to Reynolds Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Quarryville, PA. www.reynoldsfuneralhome.net.
