Charles "Jim" Mellinger

Charles "Jim" Mellinger, age 77 of Peach Bottom, passed away at home on Sunday, January 2, 2022. He was the husband of the late Linda Marker Mellinger. He was born in Lititz, son of the late B. Stanley Sr. and Agnes H. Keppel Mellinger. Jim enjoyed working on cars, driving trucks, cookouts, and most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by 10 children; Cherry wife of Jeremy Lookenbill of Lancaster, Lena Mellinger of Peach Bottom, Dave Mellinger of Peach Bottom, Jina wife of Mark Rosenkrans of Manheim, Julie wife of Brian Peters of Lititz, Jenny wife of Chris Worley of Denver, and Charles James Jr. Mellinger of Lancaster, Billy Hudson of Knoxville, TN, Diane Watson of Albany, GA, Kelly Hudson of New Providence, numerous grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and 4 siblings; Benjamin Stanley, Jr. "Sonny" Mellinger of Ephrata, Shirley Yeagle of Lititz, Helen Showers of Lititz, Bobby Mellinger of Stevens. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Judy Hasselbach, and 2 sibling, Evelyn Royal and Mary Miller.

There will be a graveside service on Thursday, January 13 at 2 p.m. at the Mellingers Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery, 80 Gockley Road, Stevens, PA with a viewing from 1:30 until time of service. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Reynolds and Shivery Funeral Home, 144 East State Street, Quarryville, PA 17566 to help with funeral expenses.
