Charles O. "Chuck" Booth, Jr.

Charles O. "Chuck" Booth, Jr. age 88 of Quarryville, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 16, 2024.  He was the husband of the late Elsie Marie Byers Booth for 68 years before she went to be with the Lord on September 2, 2022.  Born in Drumore, he was the son of the late Charles O. Booth, Sr. and Elsie McClure Booth.  He was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Peach Bottom.  He owned and operated Charles O. Booth, Jr. Building Contractor.  Chuck was a hard worker who really enjoyed building houses, especially laying block, farming, splitting wood and operating a backhoe.  In his free time, he also loved hunting, going to the mountains, riding motorcycle, collecting rocks and most of all, spending time with family.  Surviving are 5 daughters; Charlene M., wife of the late John R. Garrett of Pequea, Marlene F., wife of Howard Turner of Blain, PA, Collene S., wife of the late Roy Haldeman of Drumore, Lauralene L., wife of David Unruh of Holtwood, Shellene A., wife of Charles Rittenhouse, Jr. of Pequea, 21 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, 4 great great-grandchildren and a sister; Rebecca J., wife of Pete Rineer of Holtwood.  He was preceded in death by a grandson, Timothy Scott Lefever and 3 siblings, Janet Evans, Jackie Cole and Roger Booth.

A funeral service will take place at New Providence Baptist Church, 2411 Beaver Valley Pike, New Providence, on Saturday, December 21st at 10 a.m. with a viewing time from 9 a.m. until the time of service.  Pastor Ron Rush will be officiating.  Interment will be in the Mt.
