Obituary

Carson Michael Rollman age 13 and Annika Grace Rollman age 10, of East Earl, both met Jesus on Good Friday, April 18, 2025 as the result of a vehicle accident in Maryland.  They were the children of Michael Bradley "Brad" & Miriam Ruth "Mimy" Petersheim Rollman.  They are also survived by siblings Alea Ruth and Alyssa Jean Rollman both at home, grandparents Alvin and Esther Fisher Petersheim of New Holland, Michael and Fannie Kreider Rollman of East Earl, aunts, uncles, cousins and lots of friends.  Surviving biological family members for Carson is birth mother Yaritza Rivera and brother Justin, and for Annika are birth parents Bob and Jen Silknetter, brother Robert and her sisters.  They attended and were baptized at Honey Brook Community Church where they loved being part of the children's ministry and the summer camps.  They were students at Gehman's Mennonite School where Carson was in 7th grade and Annika was in 4th grade.

Carson loved sports; baseball, football, and basketball were the epitome of who he was. He played his last baseball game on Thursday night. After the game, his stomach rumbled with hunger—when wasn't he hungry? Conveniently, a McDonald's was nearby, so he and his dad decided to treat themselves to the Penn State hunger box. Carson was in his element, savoring the moment spent with his dad in the back seat of the car chowing down on some of his favorite food and gulping his favorite Dr. Pepper while Mom drove home.

Carson was known for his deep affection for those in his life. No bedtime was complete without a few extra kisses from Mom—he'd often come back for 2 or 3 more,  before drifting off to sleep. Even at 13, he was not too old to cuddle with his mom and dad.

Recently, Carson had been exploring his roots, branching out to try different foods like crispy fried chicken and experimenting with his appearance. He was particularly proud of his bleached-tipped hair, a bold reflection of his vibrant personality.

Full of life and love, Carson had an insatiable appetite, capable of clearing out snack cupboards at home and his friends' houses quicker than anyone could imagine. He took his role as a big brother seriously, fiercely protective of his sisters while also enjoying the playful banter that came with sibling love—he had a knack for annoying them, but it was all in good fun.

Carson could never sit still; he was always full of energy and on the go. The mischievous twinkle in his eyes hinted at his next escapade. Whether he was climbing onto the roof of the house or disappearing into the next adventure, the boy was always active. He cherished his friends and loved nothing more than to camp with them and engage in all sorts of boyish activities.

His passion for shoes was unmistakable. For Carson, nothing compared to a fresh pair of Jordans. Shoe shopping with him was an adventure in itself; between the endless trying on and his infectious enthusiasm, it tested the patience of anyone accompanying him.

Carson had big dreams of a future in football. He envisioned himself making it big, paying all the bills, and buying his mom a beautiful new house. He embraced life with zest and delight, his million-dollar smile lighting up the room and ensnaring everyone around him with his charm. Being with Carson was like basking in pure joy; he had a way of making you feel loved and appreciated, leaving a lasting imprint on your heart.

Annika was the embodiment of spark and sass, a whirlwind of energy packed into one vibrant ten-year-old. Her love for organization was unmatched; her room was always a testament to her neatness, and nothing drove her crazier than her sisters rearranging her precious belongings without a second thought. Among her treasures, her squishy toy collection reigned supreme—it was her pride and joy, meticulously arranged and cherished.

As her Mama's little sweetheart, Annika still adored those cozy moments, sneaking into bed with her mom for cuddles and to be sung too. Her nurturing spirit didn't stop there; she dreamed of lightening her mom's workload and jumped at the chance to be her sidekick at school. With a keen eye for perfection, she took it upon herself to adjust her classmates' desks whenever they strayed from her meticulous standards, never shying away from sharing her thoughts with unfiltered honesty. Her bluntness often left adults stifling smiles, and you certainly wouldn't dare mispronounce her name more than once!

In a classroom full of rambunctious boys, Annika held her own, effortlessly straightening them out when necessary. She cherished her playtime with her neighbor girl, Kendall, making the most of every moment, and poured her heart into soccer with a passion that was infectious.

Annika was  attuned to the needs of others, especially when it came to her mom. With a caring heart, she thoughtfully packed three blankets for their vacation, reassuring her mom that she didn't need to bring her own. Her last words to her mom were offering to share her blanket with her mom, a gesture of love and connection and an embodiment of who Annika was.

In her father's eyes, Annika was his little girl, a title she cherished deeply. She often sought his embrace, craving the comfort of his hugs. The thought of him watching her play soccer filled her with joy, and she could hardly wait to have him come to her games.

Annika will forever be remembered for her zest for life, her exceptional organizational skills, and her unapologetic honesty. Her energy would fill the room with laughter and love. To know her was not just a joy—it was a true privilege.
