Carol L. Zink

Carol L. Zink, age 76 of Gap, passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at home. She was the wife of J. Melvin Zink with whom she celebrated 34 years of marriage. She was born in, Slab Fork, West Virginia, daughter of the late, Orville B. And Mary Demont Lawson. She was a member of Timberline Church. She enjoyed photography, painting, bird watching, visiting Longwood Gardens, thrifting, shopping, making jewelry, but most of all spending time with her family especially her grandkids and great grandkids. Surviving besides her husband is 2 children: Dean husband of Stacy Lefever Peachey of Strasburg, Brian C. Peachey of Kinzers, 5 step children: Terri Morrison of VA, Sherri wife of Shawn Mohler of NC, Rodney J. Zink of Denver, Tammy wife of Doug Taylor of Mohnton, Nadia wife of Brian Krantz of Adamstown, 15 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, and 4 siblings: Phyllis Conrad of FL, Brenda wife of the late James Gillenwater of New Holland, Ivita wife of Jack Looney of SC, Ronald husband of Rose Lawson of Lancaster. She was preceded in death by a son, Darrel Peachey, 2 husbands: John Gillenwater and Richard Peachey, 2 brothers: Rabin Lawson and Curtis late husband of Sharon Lawson of FL, and son-in-law Craig Morrison.

Memorial service will take place from Shivery Funeral Home, 111 Elizabeth Street, Christiana, on Friday, October 31st at 11 am with a time to greet the family from 10 am until of service. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Timberline Church's "bucket offering" that goes directly to alleviate world poverty, 30 Timber Lane, Strasburg PA 17579.
