Carol Ann Holmes

Carol Ann Holmes, 66, of Truce Road, Quarryville, PA died Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at her residence.She and her husband Wilbur C. Holmes celebrated 45 years of marriage. She was born in Lancaster a daughter of the late Helen J. Wenger Border Shaeffer.
A homemaker, for 45 years she enjoyed many facets in life.She was an avid cook, cross stitcher, baby sitter, foster mother and jewelry maker.Carol was a lover of all animals especially her dog "Dudlee" and she also raised chickens and other birds.
Her loves were her nieces, Brittany Bunting, Karpen and Lindsay Bunting Eichinger, and her extended family.
Surviving beside her husband Wilbur is a step-father Ronald D. (Fay) Shaeffer; 3 brothers, Chester D. (Sarah) Border, Robert L. (companion Laurie Hanley) Border of New Providence, Edward William "Bill" Border of New Holland; a sister Barbara Jean Border (John A.) Bunting of Leola; 5 nieces; 5 nephews; and many great nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 500 Pearl Street, Lancaster, PA on SATURDAY, JANUARY 10, 2015 at 12:00 noon with Rev. David Kreider officiating.
