Carol Mae (Stoltzfus) Harvey, age 82 of Cochranville, PA passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2026 after a brief stay at Lancaster General Hospital. Born on December 22, 1943 in a farmhouse in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Norman W. and Geneva Mae Lantz Stoltzfus She was the loving wife of James D. Harvey for 62 years. Carol loved praising God and was a member of Highland Baptist Church in Parkesburg where she loved attending a ladies bible study. For years she enjoyed reading her bible daily, clerking for the Gap Auction and cheering for the Philadelphia Phillies if they were winning. After her stroke in 1992, she became known for her dry sense of humor. A 1961 Octorara High School graduate, her and her husband enjoyed spending time with friends, fellow classmates and retired teachers. She stayed in contact with her many cousins throughout the years. Surviving besides her loving husband are 2 sons; J. Daniel Harvey of Port Royal, PA and Duane E., husband of Barbara Kauffman Harvey of Quarryville, 4 grandchildren; JT Harvey of Russellville, PA, Matthew Harvey of Quarryville, Benjamin, husband of Danika Harvey of Strasburg and David, husband of Sarah Harvey of Germantown, MD, and 7 siblings; Joyce Steele of New Holland, Kathryn Stoltzfus of Gap, Gerald Stoltzfus of Poconos, PA, Inis, wife of David Touch of Somerfield, FL, Cheryl, wife of Ken Reimold of New Providence, Lisa Thompson, companion of Danny Bishop of Mapleton Depot, PA, and Karen, wife of Ray Stackhouse of Cochranville. 

A funeral service will be held at Highland Baptist Church, 1 East Highland Road, Parkesburg, on Friday, June 12th at 11 a.m. with a viewing time from 10 a.m. until the time of service. A meal will be provided at the church immediately following the service. Interment will be in the Oxford Cemetery at approximately 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Carol’s honor to Highland Baptist Church Missionary Fund, 1 East Highland Road, Parkesburg, PA 19365.
