Carl E. Farmer, age 71, of New Providence, PA, passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2024. Born in Drumore, he was the son of the late James and Evelyn Hanna Farmer. Carl was preceded in death by his late wife Gloria Weidman Farmer, whom he celebrated 37 years of marriage with. He worked for ALCOA as a Forklift Operator. Carl faithfully served his country in the Navy.

When Carl had time he enjoyed watching NASCAR races with his wife, Gloria (she usually fell asleep right after the first lap). He was a die hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan and one of his favorite pastimes was bowling.

Surviving are 2 children; James, husband of Helen Farmer of Nottingham and Alissa Barker of Lancaster, 5 sisters; Dorothy Horst, May Fite, Fay Russell, Joyce Farmer, and Ruth Summers, 2 brothers; Harold and Bruce Farmer. He was preceded in death by his sister; Doris Farmer, and brother; Larry Hanna

Funeral service will take place from Reynolds and Shivery Funeral Home, 144 East State St Quarryville on Thursday, January 11 at 7pm with a viewing from 6pm until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice & Community Care.
