C. Donald Cox, age 89 formerly of Oxford, passed away at the Neffsville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Wednesday, July 24, 2024.  He was born in Potter County, son of the late Richard O. & Effie Jane Lammey Cox.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Oxford, serving as deacon and youth group leader for many years. He was a self employed contractor owning and operating American Buildings of Oxford.  He graduated from Phoenixville High School.  Don enjoyed deer hunting, going to his cabin in Potter County, watching the Phillies and Eagles and playing softball.  He organized and coached his own softball team in Oxford called the Americans.  He is survived by 3 children:  Michael C. husband of Brenda Wenger Cox of Aspers, PA, Jonathan G. husband of Susan Horn Cox of Quarryville, Sheril L. wife of Thomas Casey of Nottingham, 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, sister Sharon wife of Kenneth Kochey of Nazareth, PA.  He was preceded in death by 2 grandsons:  Christopher and Justin Cox, 5 siblings:  Florence White, Alvin Cox, Violet Young, Betty Varner and Jack Cox.

Funeral service will take place at the Reynolds and Shivery Funeral Home, 144 East State Street, Quarryville, PA, on Monday, July 29th at 2 p.m. with a time to greet the family from 1 p.m. until time of service.  Pastor James Roland will be officiating.  Interment will take place in the Quarryville Cemetery.
