Brenda K. Summers, age 79 formerly of Gap, passed away at The Glen of Willow Valley on Friday, October 13, 2023.  She was born in Lewistown, daughter of the late William &  Sara Kathryn (Peck) Klinger.  She graduated from Chief Logan High School and then went on for her Bachelor's Degree in Education from Millersville University, Masters Degree in Education from Penn State University.  She worked as a history teacher within the Pequea Valley School District, she had also worked at True Value of Gap in the fabric department,  Hayloft Fabric of Morgantown as a manager and had also owned and operated Bank of Gifts in Gap.  She enjoyed sewing, crafts, gardening and her dogs over the years.  Surviving are 2 children: Jill N. Summers of Gap, Brett P. Summers of Lancaster, 2 grandchildren: Noah Matos, Nevaeh Marseille and a sister Jeanne Guss of Sinking Springs. She was the loving aunt to Emily Guss of Baltimore, Amy Harter of Bear (DE), and Matthew Summers of Dublin (Oh).
