Beverly J. Kendig

Beverly J. Kendig, aged 85, of Quarryville, PA, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2026 at Newport Meadows Nursing and Rehab. Beverly was born July 13, 1941, in Coatesville, to the late Charles F. and Charlotte J. (Hoffman) Lammey. She was married for 65 years to the late Robert E. Kendig before his passing on June 23, 2026.

Beverly worked for her family’s grocery store in Nine Points for 55 years, starting there when she was just 10 years old. She enjoyed drag racing and snowmobile riding, and the time spent at the cabin while doing both with the family. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren and the great-granchildren, their many fur babies. At the holidays, she always made sure everyone was left satisfied from a large feast. The family store, time with family, and animals are some of things she cherished the most.

Surviving her is a daughter, Pamela Hess and husband Steven of Quarryville; grandchildren, Ryan Hess and wife Adrienne of Quarryville, and Erica Lingle of Quarryville.

The family will host a Celebration of Life in honor of Beverly at Chantry Place, 15 N. Bridge Street, Christiana, PA, on Monday, October 26, 2026 from 4:30pm - 7:00pm. Guests are invited to dress casually. A private interment will be held at Middle Octorara Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
