Betty Jane Trout Book, age 91 of Quarryville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community.  She was the wife of the late Frank J. Trout who passed away on May 24, 2007 and the late Robert Book who passed away in March of 2019.  Born in East Drumore Township, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Henrietta Johnson Herr.  Betty was a member of Middle Octorara Presbyterian Church.  She worked in the office for Herr's Motor Express.  In her free time, Betty loved traveling, going camping, gardening and bowling.  Surviving her are 2 sons; Paul R., husband of Kay L. Henry Trout of New Providence, Donald E., husband of the late Barbara L. Trout of Ephrata, 3 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and a sister; Barbara Caldwell of GA.  She was preceded in death by 6 sisters, Florence, Esther, Mary, Janet, Beulah and Ruth Ann and 5 brothers, John, Paul, Daniel, Franklin and Richard. The family would like to thank that staff at QPRC and Hospice and Community Care for the excellent care Betty received.

A funeral service will take place at Middle Octorara Presbyterian Church, 1199 Valley Road, Quarryville, on Tuesday, March 11th at 11 a.m. with a viewing time from 10 a.m. until the time of service.  Reverend John Barlow will be officiating.  Interment will be in the Georgetown Methodist Cemetery.
