Betty A. Beane

Betty A. Beane, age 96, formerly of Paradise and Gordonville, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2026 at the Masonic Village. She was the loving wife of the late Paul E. Beane, Jr. who passed away on May 12, 2018. Born in Paradise, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Mildred Shank Axe. Betty worked hard in the home as a stay at home mom, but she also worked various jobs throughout her lifetime at Hamilton Watch Company, Schick Electric and Country Meadows. She was a 1948 graduate of Paradise High School. In her free time, she loved doing embroidery and camping and boating with her husband Paul. Surviving her are 2 sons; David P., husband of Ruth L. Beane of Strasburg and Danny P., husband of Rhonda C. Beane of Kirkwood, 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Donald P., late husband of Brenda Beane, and 4 siblings, Joanne Supplee, Lloyd Axe, Donald Axe and Patricia Von Gehr. 

Services to be private.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Betty's memory to Masonic Village Hospice, 600 Freemason Drive, Elizabethtown, PA 17022.
