Obituary

Betsy Jo (Sinclair) Hess, 68, went to her heavenly eternal home on May 25, 2014, at her residence, Peach Bottom, PA, with the support of her family and many friends.
Betsy was the loving wife of Dennis E. Hess.On November 2nd, 2013, they celebrated 50 years of marriage.
She was the daughter of the late Joseph E. and Betty Graybill Sinclair. She was the step daughter of Elizabeth Agne Sinclair.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by 2 children; a son, Michael L. Hess, husband of Robin Greer Hess, Drumore, PA, daughter, Susan R., wife of Mark E. Lancaster, Peach Bottom, PA.,6 grandchildren; Kerri, Michael, Hailey, Evan, Morgan and Montana, 2 great grandchildren; Rhylee and Daniel,4 sisters; Jeanne, wife of Edwin Pruitt, Nancy Stauffer, Sara, wife of Jim Hess, and Janice Martin, 2 brothers; Larry Sinclair and wife Sherri (Grimm), and J. Edgar Sinclair, husband of Sandy (McGee), step-brother, Melvyn Agne, husband of Suzi (Thomas).She is predeceased by 2 brother-in-laws; Garry Stauffer and John Martin.
Betsy graduated from Solanco High School in 1963.She was a homemaker in her earlier years.With her husband and partner, she operated Fulton Market, Peach Bottom, PA for 13 ½ years.Betsy then was the head seamstress at Yorgeys and Fillings Cleaner where she retired from in 2010.An accomplished seamstress, she liked to sew in her spare time.She was a member of the Sewing Network, Lancaster, PA.
Betsy was a devoted and active member for 50 years at Little Britain Presbyterian Church.
Betsy always had a smile for everyone.She held many positions, always striving to show God's love by helping others with her genuine kindness, compassion, and caring.This was her greatest gift and was an inspiration to others.
Betsy cherished her family.Her biggest pride and joy were her grandchildren and great grandchildren.Her face lighting up when she was with them.
She enjoyed God's creations. Especially the birds and flowers.
A private service will be held with traditional burial in Little Britain Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
Friends are invited to attend a memorial service to be held; Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Little Britain Presbyterian Church, 255 Little Britain Church Road, Peach Bottom, PA with Pastor Thomas P. Milligan officiating.The family will greet friends following the memorial service at a luncheon at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Betsy's memory may be made to Hospice and Community Care, PO Box 4125, Lancaster, PA17604, or Helping Hands Fund, c/o Little Britain Presbyterian Church, Peach Bottom, PA.
The family would like to express much heartfelt thanks to family friends and the staff of Ann B. Barshinger Cancer Institute and Hospice and Community Care for your wonderful care and support.
