Barry W. Dowling

Barry W. Dowling, passed away peacefully on Sunday August 21, 2022, at the age of 75. Barry was born in Philadelphia in 1947. He was the son of Edna and Andrew Dowling of Philadelphia. Barry was a 1965 graduate of Father Judge High School, then enlisted in the United States Navy. He was stationed aboard the USS Tinosa (SSN-606) and honorably discharged in 1969. While in the service he earned his distinguished Dolphins, learning all the systems of the submarine. After his service, he was employed by Philadelphia Electric Company (Exelon) where he retired after 45 years. He was a faithful fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies. His accomplishments and achievements were far more than that and too many to list. He was a great Husband, Father and Grandfather and was always there when you needed him. He will be sadly missed but remembered fondly for his stories and advice. He was married to Arlene (Veach) for 55 wonderful years. He is survived by his sons, Ken (Julie) and Scott; four Grandchildren, Katie, Kayla Lindsey (Cameron), Sara and Dylan and a Great Grandson Braden "Brady"; siblings, Richard (Nancy) and Andrea; and many nieces and nephews.
