Arlene Virginia Swinehart was born on September 18, 1924 in Outlet, Pennsylvania to Bruce and Gertrude Crispell. For 97 Years she blessed this earth with her sweet disposition, loving spirit, dedicated work ethic and love for her Lord, and family. On January 30, 2022 she was ushered through the Heavenly Gates to spend eternity with her Lord. Arlene graduated from Lake High School, and Wyoming Seminary College. She married Conard Swinehart on June 12, 1948 and moved to Kirkwood, PA. where she helped her husband by keeping the books for Swinehart's Garage, and raised her family. She lead Child Evangelism programs in Kirkwood for many years. She was an active member of Union Presbyterian Church where she taught the primary Sunday School class, was director of Vacation Bible School, served as a deacon, and was a member of the Womens Association. Arlene was the widow of Conard Swinehart and mother of Diane Harmon (Mark) and Rev. Elaine Swinehart, and faithful pup Chloe. She was the grandmother of Christopher Harmon (Julianne). She is also survived by sister Erma Nulton, niece Beverly Wandel, nephew Timothy Nulton, and many grand nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Kenneth and Williard.
Funeral service will take place from Union Presbyterian Church, 5637 Street Road, Kirkwood, on Saturday, February 5th at 11 a.m. with a viewing from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service. Reverend Scott Phillips will be officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Union Presbyterian Church, 5637 Street Road, Kirkwood, PA 17536.
