Annie Elizabeth (Haldeman) Hess, age 81 of Pequea, passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at home. She was married to her husband James Hess Jr. for 58 years. Annie was the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Dorothy Marie Haldeman. Annie was a waitress for many years, most of them at Willow Valley Family Restaurant. Annie enjoyed camping with her husband, visiting most of the states with her favorites being Alaska and Hawaii. She also traveled over seas visiting Africa, Switzerland, London and Jamaica. Annie and Jim were avid Penn State Football fans, attending a lot of their home games. Surviving besides her husband are 2 daughters: Rowena L. Hess of Willow Street, Brenda L. Hess (Fred) of Quarryville, 3 grandchildren: Kari Johnson, Rowena Hess, and Joshua Hess, 5 great grandchildren: Erin Johnson, Esther Johnson, Clint Johnson, Dean Johnson, and Holden Hess, 4 siblings: Robert Haldeman Jr., Stella Labezius, Guy Haldeman (Tracy), and Rowena Kenneson (Bob). She was preceded in death by 4 siblings: Marie Gainer, Ira, Roy, and Rae Haldeman.

Memorial Service will take place from Bethesda UMC, 1086 Hilldale Road Holtwood, PA 17532, on Friday, September 20th at 6 pm. There will be a time to greet the family immediately following the service over some light refreshments.
