Anna M. Joe

Anna M. Joe, age 94 of Christiana, passed away at Newport Meadows on Monday, July 28, 2025.  She was the wife of the late Ralph E. Joe, Jr., who passed away on February 6, 2024.  She was born in Ironville, PA, daughter of the late Clarence W. & Emma Lichty Peters.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pequea, where she served on the kitchen committee.  Ann was a mail carrier for the Christiana Post Office.  She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and gardening.  Surviving are 2 children: Kathie A. wife of James Miller of Christiana, Scott M. Joe, 3 grandchildren: Brandon husband of Ellen Hartshorne Miller, Kelsey wife of Chad Todd, Michael Joe, 4 great grandchildren: Judah, Nella, Charlie & Virginia. She was preceded in death by a son Larry Joe husband of Naomi and 9 siblings.

A celebration of life service will take place from the First Baptist Church of Pequea, 6062 Old Philadelphia Pike, Gap, PA, on Friday, August 29th at 11 a.m., with a time to greet the family from 10 a.m. until time of service.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Pequea or to St. Jude Children's Research hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN. 38105.
