Amy Cole Ludwig, otherwise known as Coley to friends and family, passed away peacefully and surrounded by friends on December 30, 2021. Born in Wilmington, DE on October 11, 1972, she was the youngest child of the late Pam (nee Freed) and Scott Morrow. Coley was the adored baby sister of her big brother Chris. Although six years separated them in age, Coley and Chris shared an incredible bond that carried them throughout her lifetime. Coley was the beloved and devoted mother of Connor and Allie. Her devotion to her children was only surpassed by the boundless love she had for them. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Jayne Sieg Morrow, Aunt Amy and Uncle Roy Armstrong, nieces and nephews.
Although Coley started her career in social work with an MSW, she ultimately found her true passion in nursing. Coley obtained her BSN from Gwynedd Mercy and was in the process of obtaining her Nurse Practitioner degree. She spent her entire nursing career of 18 years working in the emergency department at Paoli Hospital. It was here she found her second family. A family that clearly reflected her love and generosity through the care and support they provided her during her brief illness.
It is with a grateful heart that Coley's family extend their thanks to Paoli Hospital for each and every kind gesture of love and compassion they showed her. Additionally, the family extends deep gratitude for the kindness, love, and support shown by family, neighbors and friends. Special thanks to the caring staff at Hospice and Community Care in Mt. Joy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at the St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 601 East Delp Road, Lancaster, PA, on Wednesday, January 5th at 11 a.m. There will be a viewing at the church on Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of service. Final Commendation and Farewell will be in the St. Josephs New Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Paoli Hospital Nursing Fund or to Hospice and Community Care, Mt. Joy.
