Allen B. Mellott

Allen B. Mellott, Jr., 70, of Kirkwood died Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Lancaster General Hospital.He was the husband of Virginia L. Bird Mellott.Born in Lancaster County, he was the son of the late Allen B. and Dorothy Gladys Levering, Mellott, Sr.
Mr. Mellott worked both as a farmer and a self- employed contractor.
He enjoyed all the things about farming, horses, cows, and anything associated with agriculture.
Surviving beside his wife are 4 sons, Bud (Mindy) Mellott, III, R. Michael (Karen) Mellott, James W. Mellott, Thomas J. Mellott; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Carolyn Joan Bird, Jane eager, Polly Stier; and 1 brother Robert Bird.He was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Elsie Yeats and Shirley Quay.
