Allen E. McAllister

Allen E. McAllister, age 93, of Forwood Estates, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 14, 2026. Formerly of Harbeson, DE and Peach Bottom, PA; she was the wife of the late Donald F. McAllister for 65 years. Born in Sturgills, NC, she was the daughter of the late William and Winnie Sheets Armstrong. Allen was a homemaker and great cook. She also worked briefly at the Litho Printing Company in Wilmington, DE.

She was a humble and faithful woman devoted to family and her children. She loved country music, playing bingo, taking walks, and shopping at Boscovs. She enjoyed her community and friends at Forwood Estates.

She is survived by 3 children: Donald F. Jr. McAllister of DE, Barry Lee (Patty) McAllister of West Palm Beach FL, Robin Gail (Daniel) Goldfedder of Philadelphia, 2 grandchildren: Nina and Marc Goldfedder, 2 siblings: Jack (Mary) Armstrong of New Providence and Phillip (Kathy) Armstrong of Willow Street. She is preceded in death by a brother, Steve Armstrong.

A funeral service will take place from Reynolds and Shivery Funeral Home, 144 E. State Street Quarryville, PA 17566 on Monday, October 19, 2026 at 11 a.m. with a viewing from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service. Interment following the service will be in the Mt. Zion United Methodist Cemetery, Peach Bottom.
