Albert L. "Al"  Warfel, age 73, of New Providence passed away Saturday, May 19, 2024 at Lancaster General Hospital. He was married to Leda Fezette Warfel with whom he would have celebrated 20 years of marriage on June 6th. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Albert Warfel and the late Pauline Fitzkee Warfel Rineer. Al was an excavator for Andrews Excavating for 50 years. Some of his favorite hobbies included building long rifles, participating in and watching all shooting sports and restoring old tractors. Al was a member of the NRA, SLCFSA, and the Garand Collectors. Surviving besides his wife are 2 children; Dr. Josh husband of Tina Warfel of York and Jeremy husband of Cara Warfel of Columbia, Step-son James husband of Jamie Berntheizel of Columbia, 5 grandchildren; Alexis, Anna, Dominyk, Hadley and Hudson, 3 step-grandchildren; Codie, Taylor and Sidney, step great-grandchild Benjamin, a brother Carl husband of Linda Warfel of New Providence, and a sister Wanda wife of Dawson Wynn of Quarryville. Al was preceded in death by a brother Edward Warfel.

A funeral service will take place from Reynolds and Shivery Funeral home, 144 East State Street Quarryville, PA 17566 on Friday May 24th at 11 a.m. with a viewing from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Pastor Blake Deibler will be officiating. Interment will be in the Colemanville United Methodist Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the NRA and the SLCFSA.
