Adelaide Stewart Kelley

Adelaide Stewart Kelley, 98, of Bartville, died peacefully on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at her residence under Hospice and Community Care.
Adelaide was one of five siblings born to the late James and Katherine Scott Stewart of Colerain Township.She married Thomas R. Kelley of Union and together they ran a dairy farm and raised five children.Upon retirement they moved to Quarryville where Adelaide commenced a new job as a nurse's aide at the Presbyterian Home until retiring at the age of 76.
She enjoyed her church, her garden, bowling with friends, traveling the country, social events of all kinds, and lots of family gatherings.In her later years, she was an avid card player and her favorite place was the Quarryville Senior Center where she enjoyed the warmth of new and old friends.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Scott, Walter, Everton, her twin sister Claire Samuelson Smith and granddaughter, Beth Eidson.
Adelaide is survived by four daughters, Grace Ochoa of Staunton, VA, Nancy Vann and her husband Charles of Bessemer, AL, Dotty Lovell of Bartville, Alice Eidson of Homeville; a son Thomas Kelley and his wife Cathy of Fruita, CO; 11 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Reynolds Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., 144 East State Street, Quarryville, PA on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at 11:00AM with Pastor Daniel Chrisman officiating.Interment will follow in Union Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 10:00AM until the time of service.
