Ada E. Edwards, age 98, formerly of Leola, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at the home of her daughter. She was the wife of the late Willard Edwards who passed away on July 16, 1996. Born November 7, 1926 in Farmington, MD, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Elsie Hammond Reed. She graduated from Calvert High School, class of 1943. She worked at Aberdeen Proving Ground and the Bainbridge Navel Training Center. Ada was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother. Ada loved to go out to eat whenever she had the chance. She had a love for shopping and certainly passed that gene onto her daughters. Ada loved spending time with her family more than anything! Surviving are five daughters: Carol Edwards, (companion of Wayne Kreider) of Paradise, Doris Elaine Groff (James) of Christiana, Nancy Rogowski (Lee) of Lancaster, Sandra Mossman (Jerry) of Cincinnati, OH and Karen Schaeffer (Michael) of Lititz. Eight grandchildren: Jim Groff, Jr., Douglas Groff, Chrissy Rush, Jacqueline Berry, Michael Fink, Sarah Mossman Axt, Hannah Middleton, and Emily Mossman. She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her siblings George Reed and Etta Reed Johnson.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family. The burial will take place at Sadsbury Friends Burial Ground. The family would appreciate if you would listen to "She Loved" by Jeff and Sheri Easter.
