Norman J. “Sam” Brinton, age 77, of Lancaster, PA, passed away at his home on Tuesday, November 13, 2018. He was the husband of Joan Diller Brinton with whom he celebrated 28 years of marriage with on April 16th. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Maurice Jr. and Anna Eisemann Brinton. Norman attended Sadsbury Friends Meeting House with his wife. He served his country in the US Army. He was a life member of the Thunderbird Motorcycle Club, where he was the former president, secretary, and AMA representative, a life member of ABATE, a life member of AMA in Ohio, a life member of the Christiana Legion Post #865 and the Marietta Legion Post #466 and was the founder of American Legion Riders for both, he was the treasurer and former secretary of the District 10 American Legion, and he was a life member of Amvets Post #136 of Ephrata. He also enjoyed photography and filming trains. Surviving besides his wife is a step-son, Richard Sr. husband of Lynne Dougherty Gregg of Schwenksville, 5 grandchildren: Richard Gregg Jr., Nicole Gathy, Kayla Gregg, Kara and Tyler Szymanski, and 2 great grandchildren, Charlotte and Astrid Gregg. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Krystal Gregg. There will be a viewing time from 11-1 p.m. at Shivery Funeral Home, 111 Elizabeth Street, Christiana, PA 17509, on Monday November 19th.
