William A. "Bill" Devlin IV, age 71, of Christiana, passed away on Monday, November 12, 2018 at his home with family by his side. He was the husband of Margaret M. Devlin. Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late William A. III and Eleanor Nemila Devlin. William graduated from Scott High School Class of 1965. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the Army. Bill was a dispatcher for Lukens Steel for 30 years. Bill provided transportation to the Amish community. He was a drummer in various jazz and Drum & Bugle Corps bands. He enjoyed fly fishing, the outdoors and spending time with family. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Amanda wife of Chad Allwein of Strasburg, and a brother, Garry husband of Martha “Marty” Devlin of Lancaster. Funeral service will take place at the Shivery Funeral Home, 111 Elizabeth Street, Christiana, PA on Friday, November 16th at 11 a.m. with a viewing from 10 a.m. until time of service. Chaplain Debbie Miley will be officiating. Interment will be in the Upper Octorara Presbyterian Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice & Community Care, P.O.
