Scott Nathan Shingle, age 50, of Chester Springs, passed away on Monday, November 18, 2019 at Paoli Hospital. He was the husband of Miriam Joy Heston Shingle, and they would have celebrated 21 years of marriage this December 26. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Lilyanne Gyger Shingle and Ralph H. Shingle Jr., late husband of Sue Sarvis Shingle of Atglen. He was a graduate of High Point Baptist Academy. Previously, he worked for Great Atlantic Graphics in Malvern and was presently working as a technology support specialist for the Chester County Intermediate Unit since 2002. He enjoyed experimenting with, fixing and programming computers. He also enjoyed playing the electric bass and keyboard, often creating his own compositions. In addition to his wife and step-mother, he is survived by a daughter, Sarah Elisabeth Shingle at home and 5 step-siblings: Susan Peabody, Brian Peabody, Pete Jordan, Jim Jordan, and Christopher Jordan.
Funeral service and reception will take place on Saturday, November 23rd at 11 a.m. at Chantry Place, 15 N Bridge Street, Christiana. There will be a viewing from 10 a.m. until time of service. A private interment will follow in the Goodwill Methodist Cemetery.
